Summer Basics

Hey Guys! I wanted to do a quick blog post of some of my favorite basic summer pieces.  Don't get me wrong I do love to dress up, but I'll be honest my go-to look leans more on the comfort side, especially on the weekends when I just want to relax!
I do feel like you can still make comfy look cute, right? You can find great affordable staple pieces from stores like Target, Marshalls, or my go-to Nordstrom Rack where I picked up the outfits you see below. I've shared a few of my other favorite comfy day finds below as well! You can really mix and match any of the tops, shorts, and sneakers to create your perfect casual day outfit!
My last tip is, always try to pair your casual outfit with a belt to set the two pieces apart especially if the t-shirt isn't fitted. I just tuck a little of the front in and this helps define your waistline!
Happy Shopping guys and enjoy your summer basics!

(Love this tie front top from Nordstrom Rack! It's so comfortable and comes in lots of colors, click on the photo below to purchase, i'm wearing a size small.)

(This rose colored top is perfection! It's super stretchy and comfortable so you can dress it down with shorts, or you can also dress it up. I paired it with skinny leg dress pants for work last week and it was super cute! This top also came from Nordstrom Rack and is under $20!)

Austin Fashion Week

So excited to share my first fashion show experience with you!

Last night my girlfriends and I attended a runway show hosted by Fashion X Austin and I must say I was blown away. The attention to detail they put into the event space and the quality of  the designers were epic; I honestly felt like NYFW had come to Austin! Of course like I tend to do, I waited until last minute (2 days before) to order my tickets and pick out my outfit, so you can imagine how stressed I was to get it right. I mean this was my first fashion show where I would be surrounded by gorgeous models and fashionable designers, I knew I couldn't disappoint!  I already had a vision in my head of what I  wanted; something that would make a statement, something that was powerful, yet still feminine, and most importantly something that would keep me warm because i'm always cold at events! With all of this in my head I decided I wanted either a long jumpsuit or a powerful pant suit with a matching jacket. With literally no time to waste I headed over to Dillards to see if I could make my fashion show outfit a reality. When I found this Antonio Melani jumpsuit, I knew it was just what I was looking for! I have never been brave enough to wear orange, it's honestly not my color but there was something about this outfit that gave me all the vibes I was looking for, I had to get it!
I seriously had the best time and felt so confident in this suit, I am already searching Antonio Melani's line to find my next event outfit!

(Click on the Antonio Melani links to purchase my jumpsuit.
This suit runs a little big, I am wearing a size 0)
(Thankful to have amazing friends that will do a mini photoshoot in the valet lane of the Marriott)
(Flexing? Smelling my pits? Fixing my hair? Who knows!!)
(This may have been after Laura walked out in front of a car)
(Jumpsuits were on trend last night, how cute and stylish are my friends?)
(Early Bird Access before the show, wishing I was about to walk the runway...just kidding I love pizza too much, i'll just watch!)
